ADESA is developing the next generation of software to run our physical auction operations while continuing to enhance the installed base. This software drives over 80 auction locations across North America and over 1.5 billion dollars in revenue each year. We are seeking talented individuals that will leverage their experience, skills, and knowledge to help us transform ADESA's physical auction management platform into a modern and scalable system. This system will serve as the foundation for business innovation and growth in the future.

In this position, you will create and maintain automated testing frameworks that will cover a wide range of testing types including but not limited to functional, api, integration, performance, and load testing. Your charge will be in providing a way to insure quality of the Physical Auction suite of applications while being able to release new versions of the applications at will. You will play an essential role in allowing our applications to grow, scale, and remain highly available. You will work closely with Development, Architecture, and DevOps teams within KAR to ensure high quality and feature-rich applications.

About the job:

  • Build fully automatable testing applications
  • Work with DevOps team to deploy and enable various testing frameworks within CI/CD pipelines
  • Work with architecture and development teams to design and develop impactful testing frameworks for new applications, components, and integrations
  • Research and evaluate new automated testing strategies
  • Embody the core values of Agile to deliver quality software to our users
  • Build effective performance and load testing applications to identify any scalability issues and test system endurance and capacity

You should have:

  • Hands on experience working with automation frameworks
  • Knowledge of continuous integration and delivery practices and technology
  • Experience with C# / .NET / Visual Studio
  • Understanding of object oriented development concepts and practices
  • Experience working with SOAP and REST services
  • Solid knowledge of SQL and relational database concepts
  • Experience working in an Agile/Scrum development environment
  • Understanding of testing concepts and principles

 Other Helpful skills:

  • Experience with VSTS or TFS
  • Azure cloud experience
  • Visual Studio Web and Load Test applications
